Some Reminders!

Hello ladies! We do not have MOPS this week but there are a couple other things I need to remind you of!

First, we have our very first MOPS worship service this Wednesday morning from 9:15-9:45am. This is very informal - kids will stay in the room with us (we'll provide colouring materials), we'll participate in some worship music courtesy of our very own Erin Lowe and hear a short encouraging message from Pastor Dave.

Secondly, the next MOPS (Oct. 10) is CROCKTOBER!! This means we all bring our crockpots and we go home with a free, fully assembled meal! But before then, I'm looking for any and all of your fabulous crockpot recipes to include in our hand-out. I'll be printing out all the previous years' recipes as normal but I'd love to have a bunch of new ones. Please email them to me asap but before Tues. Oct. 8.

Thank you!

MOPS this week!

Hello ladies! I hope you're having a good week so far! Here's your friendly reminder that we have MOPS this Thursday - starting at 9:15am but get there a bit early to check your kids in. We'll be hearing about all sorts of local free or cheap kids activities, playing some fun ice-breaker games, working on our centre pieces, and more great stuff!

Regarding the centre pieces - we are bringing one small item from home to glue onto our table's centre piece. If you attended the registration day, you should know what colour you need to bring (if you forget, feel free to email me and I'll look it up for you). If you didn't attend and don't know which table you belong at, don't worry about it. You can bring an item to the next MOPS. This is just a fun way to see how our mess can be beautiful!

A couple of reminders - If your kids are sick, please keep them at home. Remember to bring your baby's personal items in a labelled freezer bag. For the older kids, bring a piece of fruit or some crackers to be shared in their room (there's a basket on the welcome table for those snacks).

As always, if you have any questions, please let me know! See you Thursday!

Coffee Date!

Hello ladies! You have a date this Tuesday evening! Come hang out with us, have a coffee, and chat, sans kids! We'll be at Humpty's (east of the Highway) from 8-9pm (though it's open til 10 so we may not want to go home until then!) We hope to see you there and get to know everyone more! If not, MOPS is next week - the 26th. See you then!

Crossfield MOPS Kick-Off THIS WEEK!!!

Hello ladies!! We are so excited to start up Crossfield MOPS this Thursday!!

First, before MOPS starts, we are looking for business cards from those of you who have your own businesses (just you, not your hubbies). These will be included in a hand-out we'll have for everyone on Thursday. We need 50 cards from everyone who wants to participate. Please contact Lorraine Braun ( braun.lorraine@gmail.com ) and you can bring them to her or she will pick up within Crossfield. If you're unable to get them to her before Wednesday afternoon, feel free to bring them to a future MOPS meeting and place some on each table.

OK, here's what you need to know for Thursday.

1) We start at 9:15am at Crossfield Baptist Church (on the 2A just north of town). Please come a bit early to get your kids settled in the childcare rooms. If you don't know what you're doing, we have greeters at the door to help you out!

2) If your child is 2 or older, please bring a piece of fruit or some crackers to be shared in your child's room.

3) If your child requires personal items (diapers, wipes, bottles etc) please place these items in a freezer bag labelled with their name (make sure you label bottles or sippie cups as well).

4) If your kids are sick, please keep them at home. We want to minimize the spread of germs as much as possible.

5) Bring your chequebook! I'll be taking registrations ($35) as well as childcare deposits. The childcare deposit is a cheque for $20, post dated to May 1, 2014. Once you take your turn in a childcare room (once a year), your cheque will be shredded.

6) Jill will be taking photos of everyone for the directory. This is your heads up to wash your hair and cover up those dark circles. Or come as you are and we'll all know how it is!

I think that's it for now. We have a lot to go over on our first meeting so I hope everyone can make it. It's going to be a fantastic year! See you then!
